Work Experience Year 10
In the summer term, all Year 10 students leave Chichester High School for a week to undertake work experience. They are encouraged to undertake a placement which closely matches their intended career pathway and to focus on improving their knowledge and understanding of a particular job sector, highlighting this in their higher education applications.
Many students use their own personal networks of family and friends to help them to secure a work experience placement, while others take advantage of the School's strong links with a range of local employers to secure the experience that they are looking for.
On their return to school students will be asked to reflect on their experience and any skills that they have developed so that they can include this in their University / College / Apprenticeship application. Students are asked to keep a log using their Unifrog accounts and will be visited on placement by a CHS staff member.
